- Kathy Carlton Willis grew up in small-town America and married her highschool sweetheart, Russ. They both graduated from Baptist Bible College. Kathy is a freelancer, and works as: writer, editor, publicist, writer’s coach, book doctor, speaker, and more. Kathy is somewhat of a grammar guru, with columns for writers appearing in several publications, including ByLine Magazine. She has a background in newspaper journalism, working as copyeditor and feature writer for The Sunday Challenger. She loves encouraging other writers, and believes in paying it forward in the industry. Kathy and Russ share their home with two fur-babies, Jazzy and Libby. They’ve been in ministry for over 20 years. Others admire Kathy’s passion and zest for life. Her life is a testimony of God’s sufficient grace in the face of adversity. Kathy is also well respected for her practical and often humorous messages full of hope and insight. Audiences are impacted by Kathy’s willingness to be transparent during her messages and also wait for one-on-one time with her after her speaking events. Wow. These are incredible pictures. My church in Harker Heights (Trinity BC) is headed that way today take supplies to Lasara. I wish we could help in Raymondville in the same way. We have a congregation of 150 and while the response has been overwhelming, as you can imagine, it doesn't even begin to put a dent in the need. Know that we are thinking about you all in Raymondville (since we stayed at the Best Western all of 10 day ago for Kidsheart) and praying for you as well.
